I enjoy working with small business owners as I once was one (even before owing my own CPA firm).  I was a part owner in a restaurant business that grew to eight stores and approximately 400 employees.  It was overwhelming from an operations perspective in that there were so many things I felt I needed to be an expert at quickly.  If I could handle daily operations, what was I supposed to do about sales tax, income tax, benefits, accounting, budgets, etc.  It was exhausting!

What I enjoy now is bringing my years of experience to those that want to pay attention to running a business, but don’t have time to become a finance expert too.  I’m here for timely answers to questions through effective communication so that you can pay attention to the operations.  I like to think of myself as your personal CFO.  My philosophy??  Let’s nurture your business growth through effective business management tools and in turn fuel your prosperity by considering tax savings strategies and long-term wealth goals.  

I am a graduate from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.  I have had an active CPA license since 1997.  I’ve worked in global public accounting firms and local businesses in a variety of industries.  At one point in my career, I was a financial advisor in a wealth management firm.  I think what sums up who I am is that I am very curious and learning and gaining through experience has been my career path.  I believe that there is never a stupid question and that there is always a solution.

I live in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.  I have a family of seven, including two kids of my own and three step-children.  I’m currently enjoying our lake access, am looking forward to a trip to the Ozarks late summer with our extended family (VRBO is just the best).
